Cromwell College currently has 80 employees including around 50 full and part time teaching staff and 30 support staff. The College prides itself on its positive collegial working environment, the support and care provided for staff and the thorough selection procedures for all vacancies.

Cromwell College is seeking a passionate and motivated Physics or Chemistry teacher to join our team in 2026. The position could suit either a first-year teacher or an experienced educator with a background in Physics or Chemistry.

We have an excellent track record of supporting and developing beginning teachers, offering strong mentoring, collaborative planning, and a caring environment that helps new educators thrive.

Thank you for your interest in this permanent position as a Year 7 or 8 Homeroom Teacher at Cromwell College, commencing 26 January 2026. 

The Homeroom Teacher is mainly responsible for delivery of English, mathematics, science, social studies and physical education to Year 7 or 8 students.

We are seeking an IT technician for 18 hours a week to support our staff and students. Ideally the time will be spread across 4 days. The person will need the necessary IT skills and knowledge as well as an ability to work collaboratively with staff and students. Remuneration will be in the range $29-$33 per hour.

Tasks and skills include:

  • Experience in dealing with software, hardware issues and faults
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft 365, Hapara, Apple MDM (+ Jamf) cloud services could be beneficial
  • Organised and thorough with following processes, tracking and documentation requirements
  • An ability to work independently and research and investigate issues, new IT systems and solutions. 
  • An empathy for working in a school environment.

Thank you for your interest in this full time Fixed Term Full Time position as a Year 7 – 13 Teacher of general subjects – English, Social Studies and Science at Cromwell College, commencing at the beginning of Term 1 2026. This position has arisen from projected roll growth 2026.

The Teacher is mainly responsible for delivery of English, Social Studies and Science to Year 7 or 10 students. Applicants are to outline their knowledge and skills and should state their other strengths into year 11, 12 and 13.
