Cromwell College has a very successful history of hosting international students. Students from other countries enjoy Cromwell's friendly atmosphere, range of activities and easy accessibility. Since 1995 students from Australia, Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, Canada, Germany, Brazil, Sweden, China, the United States, South America and the United Arab Emirates have all made Cromwell College their home.

The College encourages all students to come for an entire academic year as our experience shows this is of maximum benefit. Applications for shorter periods of time are also considered.
International students may choose to take part in one of our two Academy programmes and live at the Cromwell College Apartments. This is an excellent option as students get an intensive English language experience and have the opportunity to experience a vast range of organised activities. Alternatively the College can arrange a homestay with a Cromwell family.
Cromwell College prides itself on the high level of pastoral care and support provided for international students. The College is a member of the ODENZ group of New Zealand secondary schools and is a signatory to the New Zealand Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students.

At the College international students can choose from a wide variety of courses. As well as the College's normal range of courses we also offer specialist courses in English for Speakers of Other Languages, and offer the IELTS (International English Laungauge Testing System) qualification. This qualification is recognised by academic institutions around the world.In addition to classwork, international students are encouraged to participate in College sporting teams, dramatic productions and social events.
International students (other than those from Australia) are required to pay an international student tuition fee and a homestay or hostel accommodation fee.
